For over 25 years, we have been providing relief in big and small emergencies worldwide alongside with running missions in several countries in crisis. Our interventions of both humanitarian and development character have been carried out in 49 countries so far. We concentrate on ensuring sustainable and stable development of regions suffering consequences of war and/or natural disasters. We possess long-standing expertise in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), but also implement projects in Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL), as well as Shelter, Nutrition and Education. Our Operational Area in Yemen
Our Yemen Mission has been officially established in July 2019 and currently provides humanitarian assistance to 61,572 beneficiaries in Aden and Lahij Governorates in Yemen, as well as to Yemeni refugees in Markazi Refugee Camp in Djibouti. Meanwhile, PAH needs assessments for future interventions were recently conducted in Aden, Lahij, Ad Dahlee and Taizz Governorates in Yemen.
PAH in Yemen is looking for a MEAL OFFICER who will become part of the Team with the following responsibilities:
· Assists in designing M&E activities
· Carries out M&E activities such as household interviews, Focus Group Discussions, Key Informant interviews, observations as well as other baseline and end line studies, Post Distribution Monitoring(PDM) and Participatory Impact Monitoring (PIM) activities as agreed with MEAL Coordinator
· Provide training for enumerators and assist in drafting training manuals and guidelines
· Assist in collection of lessons learnt and good practice within the organization
· Coordinates the field work of enumerators including daily briefing, supervision and debriefing
· Ensure reliability of collected data through spot random checks
· Ensure proper storage of collected data
· Prepare M & E reports including field visits, PDMs, weekly and other adhoc reports
· Assist MEAL coordinator in data analysis and writing final reports
· Assist in the monitoring of the performance tracking table
· Assist in designing assessment plans and tools including the design of data collection forms in Kobo tool box and analysis
· Collect and register complaints and feedback from beneficiaries as specified in the complaints procedure
· Address complaints with assistance from the relevant staff members
· Ensure adherence of PAH policies, tools, and guidelines
· Any other duties as required by supervisor
What PAH requires:
· 3 years experience in field work with NGO or UN agencies;
· 2 years experience in data collection, analysis and reporting
· At least 1 year experience in IDP or similar setting
· proven experience in training and capacity building;
· strong monitoring and evaluation skills, including planning and participating in M&E tasks;
· highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures;
· ability to adjust to difficult and sometimes insecure working circumstances;
· excellent spoken and written English;
· strong analysis and problem solving skills;
· Solid command of MS Office and applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, outlook
· Strong skills in report writing
· Strong training and facilitation skills
· Degree in Social Sciences or Economics.
