PAH’s current activities in Iraq include:
- Switching from humanitarian response modality to development one.
- Improvement of quality of all actions, assuring more adequate response, following humanitarian standards and requirements of local communities.
- Response based on complementary programs and projects which are created in coordination with local authorities and local communities.
- Cooperation with different partner NGOs/INGOs, that delivers fruitful synergy of our actions.
Main tasks:
- Managing project team.
- Overseeing project’s activities and budget. Cooperates with finance desk officer in HQ and finance coordinator on Mission.
- Preparing “philosophy” of the project – approach for implementation of projects’ activities according to programme’s approach.
- Keeping set up deadlines; collecting documentation according to the PAH check-list and project cycle management.
- Oversees proper utilization of the material resources in the project, oversees the optimization of expenditures.
- Cooperates with the partners partaking in the project.
- Manages project promotional and PR activities in the area where the Mission operates, in cooperation and as agreed with the Head of Mission and the Head of Programmes.
- Cooperates with the donor during each of the planning stages and in project implementation, on the level of Mission activity.
- Cooperates with external institutions, including international NGOs, Clusters, governmental institutions and their agencies, local NGOs and local government as well as local and foreign media, in regards to the implemented project, in accordance to PAH internal guidelines and donor’s guidelines.
- Reports in accordance with the Department guidelines and the donor directives.
- The said list is not inclusive and may require the Employee to perform other duties as assigned by the Employer.
What PAH requires:
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Highly proficient in spoken and written English.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Good level of MS Office skills.
- Previous experience in managing teams and full time cycle projects.
- Strong cultural awareness.
- Experience in working in hard conditions (conflict/post disaster settings) would be an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal & communication & leadership skills.
