Zambia: Volunteer Advocacy and Policy Specialist

Advocacy Assist in designing, implementing and reviewing advocacy strategies on land related matters Assist in holding advocacy events such as, position paper launches or conferences; Conduct training in advocacy techniques for ZLA and its members Influencing policy Assist in tracking the Zambian and international legislative agenda on land to identify opportunities to influence public policy Assist in establishing and develop partnerships with other relevant organisations to co-ordinate approaches to legislators on land related issues Assist facilitating engagement of policy, law and decision makers as well as other stakeholders to influence pro-poor land reforms in the land delivery system in Zambia Research Assist conducting periodic policy analysis, reviews of relevant literature for identification of critical evidence gaps on land and appropriate case studies data sources Assisting in the identification and development of research project frameworks, including terms of references for external researchers where appropriate Supporting in developing research methodologies and documentation of land information from communities for use as evidence for policy advocacy at district, national and international levels
