Global Technical Lead – Girls Education and Inclusion

The ideal candidate has strong education program experience with a focus on Girls Education and Inclusion at regional and global levels. The candidate demonstrates an understanding of current issues and trends in education and of the principles of strategic convening, and has a track record of forming strategic partnerships with diverse educational institutions and donors.

As a Global Technical Lead Girls Education and Inclusion you will provide technical lead on Inclusion and Girls Education in VSO. You will promote externally and internally VSO’s most effective work and theory of change. You will lead in ensuring research and generating evidence that demonstrates Volunteering for Development approach to long-lasting changes in learning outcomes, and provide technical support in Inclusion and Girls Education to scale up VSO‘s work.

Experience:
• Considerable experience of direct work in the education sector, with a focus on Inclusion and Girls Education at regional and global levels.
• Experience in developing technical models to improve learning outcomes and address learning crises for vulnerable children.
• Considerable experience in education program development and providing technical support to institutions in developing counties.

Skills/Abilities:
• Good research skills for internal and external technical research and evaluations.
• Analytical thinking and strategic planning abilities from an organizational perspective.
• Adaptability in communication style for various contexts and stakeholders and presenting complex information in a clear and accessible manner, both orally and in writing.
• Proficiency in handling complex workloads, multitasking, and collaborating with diverse teams.
• Strong teamwork skills, demonstrated through build ing effective relationships in global technical education and related work.
• Commitment to VSO's vision, purpose, values, and volunteering for development approach.

This is a fulltime and remote role. There might be occasional travel to projects. Fulltime hours are depending on country.

Benchmark salary for a.o. India INR 2,698,035, Kenya KES 6,100,000, Nigeria NGN 19,115,696, Rwanda RWF 37,417,680, South Africa ZAR 1,022,727, Uganda UGX 141,325,037
