Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Planning and implementing a global strategy on the delivery of development and humanitarian aid. Developing related actions in this area
- Preparation and recommendation for the implementation of emergency and development aid activities
- Coordinating relationships between the Foundation’s internal departments
- Implementing actions to optimize costs within the organization
- Managing ongoing activities of subordinate division
- Managing Field Operations Team (Emergency Relief Coordinators and Desk Officers), delegate tasks, performance review, and capacity building. Preparing and conducting internal training for employees and volunteers
- Cooperation with external entities (incl. auditors and audit institutions)
- Responsibility for security on foreign missions
- Preparing financial plans and management of the department’s budget
- Managing the flow of information
- Representing the Foundation in external contacts, advocacy
The successful candidate will be selected based on the qualification requirements described below:
- At least 7 years of professional experience in the humanitarian and development sector
- Negotiation and project management skills
- Experience managing at least a team of 6 members
- Experience managing a project portfolio of at least 1 million USD in various geografical contexts (including East Africa)
- Master's degree (international relations / management /or related)
- Highly proficient in spoken and written English (C1)
- Willingness and no health contraindications to travels
- Driving license
