Somalia: MEAL Coordinator

Who PAH is looking for:
PAH in Somalia is looking for a MEAL COORDINATOR who will become part of the Team with the following
responsibilities:

• Lead the monitoring, evaluation duties and assist in accountability and learning processes on the Mission
• Draft regularly MEAL work-plans and data collection plans
• Assist in developing accountability mechanisms
• Promote understanding of the importance of MEAL
• Ensure technical, programmatic or strategic consultancy in MEAL assignments to the Mission’s
  personnel
• Provide input to project proposal, review the logframe and the logic of intervention
• Set up an adequate monitoring and evaluation system applicable for the whole programme(s) and
  draft M&E plan for each and every project according to general PAH M&E strategy and projects
  requirements.
• Ensure implementation of high quality MEAL process and ensure delivery of adequate MEAL
  products
• Plan, prepare, organize and conduct monitoring and evaluation activities for all projects (including
  baseline and end-line surveys, Post Distribution and Post Intervention Monitoring, mid-term and
  post project evaluation, etc.)
• Analyze existing monitoring and evaluation tools and generate new ones if need arises
• Implement mobile collection systems in the M&E or MEAL processes
• Ensure timely delivery of on all internal and external MEAL requirements with high quality of
  information
• Fully implement the PAH M&E system, accountability and quality improvement measures
   Support internal learning, capacity building and facilitate quality improvement in relation to MEAL data
• Carry out or assist in trainings and learning events including trainings for enumerators
• Share knowledge and experience in MEAL and program-related knowledge based on MEAL activity.
   Verify, consult, participate and assist in establishing appropriate M&E structure and divisions of roles
  on the Mission
• Review existing structure dedicated for MEAL
• Perform other tasks and activities as necessary

What PAH requires:

• 3-5 years of work experience in an NGO
• Min. 2 years of work experience on a similar position
• Min. 1 year of experience in leading a team
• Experience in humanitarian projects and programs
• Higher education, at least Bachelor’s Degree in related field
• Excellent command of English (oral and written)
• Excellent command of Somali (oral and written)
• Knowledge of IT applications such as Kobo, iformBuilder, SPSS or other relevant is an asset
• Strong focus on results and achievements of individual and team results
• Good skills in operational management

• Good organization of work and process management skills
• Strong skills in evidence-based decision-making
