Role overview
This role you will provide Strategic Leadership, Technical Support and overall management of Gender and Social Inclusion Programme in Myanmar with a focus on programmes related to Gender Equality; Women, Peace and Security; Disability Rights; Women Rights and Women Empowerment; Youth Engagements and strategic alignment with social accountability
Skills, qualifications and experience
- Professional background in Gender and Social Inclusion; Women, Peace and Security; Gender Equality and Women rights; Disability Rights, Youth Engagements; social accountability/good governance as an approach to achieving inclusive development.
- Experience working with women, youth and people with disability specifically in promoting their inclusion, participation and representation in leadership, governance and accountability
- At least a working knowledge of the Myanmar context for Gender Equality, Social Inclusion, Myanmar Peace processes,; Myanmar women, youth and disability Networks;
- Proven ability to engage with a range of stakeholders including government, CSOs, networks and primary actors
- Clear commitment to championing the voices of communities and in particular the poorest and most marginalized
- Proven experience of development programme design and management.
- Knowledge of and experience in delivering gender, women, youth and disability programmes.
- Experience and knowledge in social accountability work is an added value
Strong project management skills and ability to apply various tools for effective planning, resourcing, implementation and review of project
Desirable:
Experience of this type of role in Myanmar.
In depth knowledge of the context of Gender and Social Inclusion, social accountability in Myanmar
Experiences in GBV, Gender equality and social inclusion, promoting rights of women, youth and people with disabilities.
Experience of working with a development agency that works through volunteers and volunteering as an approach to development.
Fluency in Myanmar language
Right to work in Myanmar is required. National employment terms and conditions.
