Key Accountabilities:
Technical Support & Management:
· Plan and coordinate implementation of community mobilisation and health and nutrition education activities
· Oversee implementation of project activities in nutrition, as part of the wider integrated project with FSL and WASH
· Training of Community Nutrition Workers (CNWs) on key nutrition messaging, screening of SAM and MAM cases, referral and/or treatment
· Plan and coordinate community mobilisation and health and nutrition education activities on HH and community level
· Ensure screening is done on community level and referral system is in place for treatment services, provided by partners on the ground
· Supervise routine nutrition programme implementation of community messaging campaings, referrals and preventive services on the field level, using supervision checklist
· Ensure quality supervision of treatment services and community level implementation of the nutrition programme
· Organise monthly meetings with the nutrition programme community volunteers and report the outcome to the Project Coordinator
· Organise regular planning meetings with the team and report to the Project Coordinator
· Support the planning, training and implementation of nutrition surveys and assessments
· Provide support to the community volunteers as required during implementation of activities
Coordination & Representation:
· Liaise with key partners including County Health Departments, local leaders, NGO partners, and other stakeholders (as necessary) to ensure good links between nutrition treatment and other sectors
· Establish, building and maintaining links with health and other nutrition services (SFPs and SCs)
· Attend nutrition cluster coordination meetings at the State level as directed by the Project Coordinator
· Ensure good links between the nutrition programmes with special attention to referral cases
Reporting:
· Ensure that regular reports are collected on a timely basis and to the correct standard
· Assist in compilation of statistical data and draft appropriate reports on activities as directed by the Project Coordinator
· Work with finance to prepare financial requests and ensure the timely reporting of expenditure
Administrative and Other Duties:
· Provide weekly written reports on activities to the Project Coordinator, including data entry.
· Submit appropriate requests for supplies to avoid stock out at service delivery units; follow up on orders and monitor consumption.
· Make regular physical inventory of all nutrition supplies at service delivery points and report back to the Project Coordinator
· Any other duties as required by the line manager.
