Role overview

To manage the financial accounting function for VSO subsidiaries, ensure the production of accurate internal financial data and external financial reporting, compliance with statutory reporting and tax requirements, and provide user-focused financial services and a strong control environment. Assistant the Financial Accountant with tasks as required including the preparation of the consolidation financial statements for inclusion in the annual report.

Skills, qualifications and experience

You will be a "finalist" part-qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIPFA, CIMA, or international equivalent), and commitment to gaining full accountancy qualification, or newly qualified accountant. You will have proven financial ability; good analytical and problem solving skills; and be able to provide quality financial advice. You will have advanced IT skills, particularly in Excel / finance systems, and the ability to develop and maintain clear, high quality and well-laid out reports and analysis. You will have good communications and interpersonal skills with an ability to work with a multicultural team, including remote support and capacity-building with regional and country finance teams. You will be adaptable to competing priorities and actively troubleshoot in diverse situations, including appropriate escalation of critical issues. The role will require you to be flexible and occasionally may need to adapt working hours to meet the needs of Finance teams in different time zones.
