Role overview
Work alongside the superintendent for Elementary Teacher Education Division (TED) to institutionalise elementary teacher training and increase the quality and quantity of elementary teachers in Papua New Guinea.
Skills, qualifications and experience required
Essential
• Teacher training skills
• Experience of working within early childhood or elementary in an education system
• Ability to adapt, simplify, test and make relevant training materials
• Knowledge of research and policy review, including monitoring and evaluation against standards
• Knowledge of effective elementary teacher training curriculum
• Course writing skills
Desirable
• Policy writing and implementation
• Strategic planning with small teams
• Working with an education department
