Role overview
At the heart of this role is ensuring VSO is an organisation that passionately engages with corporate partners, and their employees to support us in our work.
The Corporate Fundraising Officer will play a key role in activating the new business strategy set out. This role will work to identify, research and network with new business prospects to drive the pipeline for VSO, from donations, employee fundraising, charity of the year and cause-related marketing initiatives.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast paced environment, establishing new income streams.
Reporting directly to the Senior Corporate Fundraising Manager, the successful candidate will help VSO build relationships with businesses, working to hit a personal fundraising income target.
This role offers a great opportunity to deliver measurable growth and is a rewarding opportunity to make a tangible difference to world poverty.
We are looking for someone with a passion for delivering marketing materials, and coordinating engagement events for our supporters. You will need to effectively guide stakeholders across the organisation to support you to achieve the results.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the ethical screening searches of potential new partnerships.
You should be a self-starter, interested in corporate fundraising trends that you can monitor and analyse, to help guide VSOs approaches.

Skills, qualifications and experience
Specifically you should have experience of working in a target led environment with a proven track record of delivering against targets, observing deadlines and achieving results. With a strong understanding of the principles of corporate fundraising.
We are looking for someone with experience of successfully identifying new corporate partner prospects, and stewarding them through long term partnerships.
This role would be best suited to someone with a proactive and action-orientated personality; strong sense of pace and urgency.
We are looking for someone with strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to both interface professionally senior individuals and with the ability to build good working relationships with colleagues internally.
