Role overview
Heading a small team, you will design a risk strategy that reflects VSO’s position of transparency, accountability and integrity, and ensure appropriate tools are in place to manage and mitigate risks across the organisation. Based on the risk assessment, you will design the audit plan and deliver it.

You will ensure lessons from internal audits and incident investigations are shared and inform ongoing systems and processes improvements.

You will report to the Executive Director of Finance and Corporate Services with a dotted line to the Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee. You will also work closely with senior managers across the organisation.

Skills, qualifications and experience
The ideal candidate will bring significant experience and a track record of developing risk strategies and delivering audit plans in large international organisations. You will be passionate about improving processes and controls to drive effectiveness and accountability. As an experienced leader, you will be effective at developing strong relationship with teams across the organisation.
