Role overview
Want to use your digital communications skills to help fight global poverty
We are looking for a Website and Social Media Officer to help us reach and engage more people about our work tackling poverty worldwide.
You will be responsible for the day to day management of our social media communications. You will help plan and create a range of exciting written, visual and video content that demonstrates our work and encourages action.
You'll need to be an excellent copywriter and have experience of creating platform-specific content.
You will support our initiatives in fundraising and recruiting new volunteers as well as working alongside our Supporter Care team to ensure ongoing conversations are handled in an appropriate and timely manner.
Skills, qualifications and experience
You will have experience of managing social media and increasing reach and engagement across different platforms for a major brand or organisation.
You will have experience of delivering significant social media marketing campaigns and running live events across a range of platforms You will have excellent written communications skills and attention to detail.
You will have experience of using web analytics and social media monitoring tools, using the insights gained to improve and enhance VSO's digital communications.
