The person will hold the following responsibilities:
• In cooperation with the Head of Mission, develops a long-term strategy for Programmes on the mission in South Sudan, and operationalizes and leads its implementation • Defines the common approach and standards in PAH programmes (WASH, NFI and FSL) and monitors their coherent application across programmes • Controls the timely and effective implementation of activities as well as use of budgets and other resources enabling synergies in the Programme • Identifies sources for Programme financing and leads the development of new proposals • Leads the Programme team, that is, recruits, selects, assesses performance, motivates, establishes supporting relations and develops project staff • Liaises and engages in cooperation with stakeholders such as donors, institutions, authorities, international and national non-governmental organizations, international organizations (IOs), and the clusters while representing PAH
• Represents PAH before stakeholders
• Cooperates with other departments on the Mission
• Fulfills other duties assigned by the direct supervisor
What PAH requires:
· At least 5 years proven experience in programme and project management
· Minimum 2 years of national level experience in coordinating programmes such as WASH, NFIs and FSL within difficult operating environments, preferably in East Africa
· Minimum 2 years of experience in coordinating projects in an emergency set up
· Documented successes in fundraising and applying for and managing institutional donor funds (e.g. from ECHO, USAID, DFID and others)
· Strong communication, interpersonal and networking skills in culturally diverse environments
· Resourcefulness and initiative
· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with minimum supervision
· Strong budgetary, administrative and organizational skills
· At least level C1 proficiency in written and spoken English
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
· Driving license

· A full time position with a probationary period of 3 months,

· Per diem of USD 25 per day for each day spent on the Mission on top of the salary
