Role overview
You will work as part of the Engagement and Partnerships team and report directly to the Head of Engagement and Partnerships. You will lead on promoting VSO’s knowledge and approach to Volunteering for Development to the wider international development sector, and position VSO to lead the debate and influence policy. You will serve as VSO’s focal point for external relationships in the volunteering for development sector. You will work with VSO country teams and global teams to position VSO as a leader on volunteering for development at national level, and leverage this leadership role to improve the quality and impact of volunteering.

Skills, qualifications and experience
The ideal candidate would be able to work as part of a complex global structure while also being able to provide support to individual country offices. The applicant should have expertise in networking at senior levels both within the organization and outside. The applicant should have strong skills at research and knowledge management and excellent written and oral communication skills. The applicant should be a self-starter, and have strong programme management skills.
